Yes, though I don’t have your professional credentials, I have learned about some of these issues — I stand by my advice to NOT use a medical diagnosis as just a casual way to describe how someone (who doesn’t suffer from the disease) is feeling that day. As a veteran, I have a ton of friends who suffer from PTSD and have years of experience with clinical depression. When someone says “My boss is an ass, I’m so PTSD from working for him” it irks me because it’s cheapens a serious condition. I stand by my advice to not use diagnoses in the same you you’d use the word “bummed out” when describing how you feel. Unless you actually do suffer from it, of course.
